I have used trend micro for years with no issues but thought I would try something else. This is an excellent product - have used it for several years with no problems. Both computers now have a shorter boot-up time and I really like the features of this security software over Trend Micro and Zone Alarm that I had before. I had a $15 off coupon from Norton to purchase this on their site, but when I checked price it was going to be more for 1 user with my coupon than the Amazon price of $24.99 for 3 PCs.
As far as I can tell, NIS has blocked every virus exploit attempt- I have never had any issues. Also, I think the 3 user package is a great idea for the money expended.
This is probably the best security software I have ever used. Very easy to use and set up. Product works great and since we have more than 1 computer, the "up to 3 PC's" version works best. Does an excellent job and would not operate a computer without it or some reliable protection.
I have not had any problems since. I ordered the product with the best price.
Intercepts your email connections (spam, virus and malware) I have used Norton for Internet security for four years. It seems to work OK and would have gotten 4 stars had Norton not consistently sought to fleece me for $20 more for simply renewing with them based on their notification to me via my PC. Upon running it, it will identify those programs on your computer that might be suspect to further review about being safe. There is a newer improved safe web, keeping scams from harming you or your computer. It's actually really smart too. It knows exactly when a program I'm about to install is either safe, malicious, or neutral (has holes that other hackers can abuse). For the second time the disc I received would not run in my computer. I searched the Norton site until I found a Computer chat with Norton. I am not especially computer literate and it works for me. If you want security that does not slow down your computer or make it freeze like some of the others out there that I have used in the past then you need not look any further than Norton Internet Security by Symantec. I really like this product because it keeps track of all my log-ins and does all the scans automatically in the background. Norton has made large improvements over the last few years to cover much more than just antivirus. Secondly, I don't like the default settings on this software. I like software that I can turn on when I need it, not the other way around.
